Stocks in focus: Voda Idea, Oberoi Realty, Emami | Trade Nivesh

Trade Nivesh: Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 125.65 points or 1.41 per cent higher at 9,041.25, indicating a strong start for Dalal Street. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:



Oberoi Realty: Invesco Global picked up equity shares worth Rs 220 crore of Oberoi Realty through open market transaction. According to the bulk data available on BSE, a total of 50,24,217 shares of Oberoi Realty were purchased by Invesco Global Small and Midcap Growth Fund.

Vodafone Idea: Promoters of Vodafone IdeaNSE -31.96 % — UK’s Vodafone Group Plc and Aditya Birla Group — may infuse around $1.5 billion into the telco if the government allows the company’s self-assessment figure, and staggered repayment, analysts said.

Emami: The size of proposed buyback of shares by Emami is likely to be in the range of Rs 900- 1,000 crore, sources said on Monday. The promoters currently hold 52.74 per cent stake in the company and 83 per cent of their holding is pledged.


InterGlobe Aviation: IndiGo has cancelled flights on Delhi-Istanbul route and Chennai-Kuala Lumpur route from March 18 to March 31 adding to the two previous cancellations on the Bangalore-Kuala Lumpur route until March 31, 2020 and Delhi-Kuala Lumpur route until April 30.

Metropolis Labs: A media report suggested that Metropolis Labs has been short-listed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) to aid in private testing for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). Once the ministry gives its nod, Metropolis will begin testing for the infection, if required, it said.

YES Bank: With moratorium being lifted from Wednesday, the crisis-hit Yes BankNSE -9.97 % might see a heavy withdrawal of deposits by customers, according to a report.

SBI: State Bank of IndiaNSE -3.74 % said it has acquired over 6.82 per cent stake in Zero Mass in a share transfer purchase agreement.

ICICI Bank: The bank said it has acquired 7.97 per cent stake in Yes Bank through its Rs 1,000 crore capital infusion in the troubled private sector lender.
